Our collaboration with other countries have been basically at  at two levels


INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

TTTI Bhopal lays considerable emphasis on the development of its own faculty members and faculty members of other countries, thus promoting intuitional development of collaborating countries. Some of them are mentioned here. 

The collaboration with the U.K. began in 1971-72 and lasted until 1984.It involved faculty development through long-term Projects in areas like:
British experts in different areas came to TTTI as well as TTTI faculty were sponsored for long-term Staff Development Programmes ranging  in the following Institutions:

 


CONSULTANCIES PROVIDED

TTTI, Bhopal has share its varied expertise to other countries as well some of     which are mentioned here. 


 



 


Two weeks long “Executive development Programmes” were conducted by TTTI Faculty at Bhutan for Senior Executives.These programmes were organised by Royal Civil Services Commission of Bhutan.These training programmes sponsored by UNESCO aimed at developing Management Skills among the Senior Executives.

 



 
 
Our expertise in area of technical education is being shared to other countries also. Currently, two of our faculty members of are serving the Botswana government on deputation.

 


A technical teacher was sponsored under UNESCO Fellowship had undergone a one year Staff Development Programme comprising different aspects of Educational Technology.

 


TTTI offered a two-year “Advanced Diploma in Technical Education”.The Programme had been  tailor-made for 11 Ethiopian technical teachers teachers from Ethiopia who had been sponsored under UNESCO Fellowship.

 



 
 
TTTI Bhopal has been in the forefront of CBT development also. One of them has been a 'company profile' presentation on a CD  for ILTIS, Germany

 



 
 
TTTI Bhopal faculty member  has also contributed to the technical education system in Iraq

 


One senior faculty member helped in the technical education system of Libya.

 



 



 
 
TTTI, Bhopal has developed very close collaboration with Colombo Plan Staff College for Technician Education (CPSC), Manila, Philippines ever since its inception with Headquarters at Singapore.Different modes of collaboration has taken place.
 TTTI Bhopal has signed an MOU with CPSC, Manila on 14th July 1998 with a view to intensifying the collaboration in the areas of mutual interest for the growth and development of Technician Education Systems of the Colombo Plan Member Countries.
Under the collaboration CPSC, Manila has started a Graduate Fellowship Programme (GFP) from its Corpus fund awarding 05 Fellowships for member countries to undergo a 3-semester (1 ½ years programme) leading to the award of “Master of Technical Education (M.Tech.Ed.)”degree offered at this TTTI under the Faculty of Technical Education, Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
Three senior teachers one each from Bangladesh, Myanmar and Srilanka have been sponsored for M.Tech.Ed. Programme from February, 2000 under this Fellowship Scheme.
For CPSC Manila, TTTI  Bhopal has organised a 2-week Regional Programme in “Institutional Management for Women”.22 Women participants from 14 member countries of Asia participated in this programme.The programme was jointly conducted by CPSC, Manila and TTTI, Bhopal.
On behalf of CPSC, Manila 2 of our Faculty members have conducted a 2-week training programme on “Total Quality Management” for the 32 technical teachers of Iran from 13th May, 2000 to 25th May, 2000.
 TTTI offers Staff Development Programmes the duration of which ranges from 06 weeks to 18 months with a view to developing requisite knowledge, skills and desirable attitudes among the sponsored participants from Colombo Plan member countries under the Technical Cooperation Scheme (TCS) of Colombo Plan.The Govt. of India, through their Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs bear the expenditure to be incurred on these training programmes as per their norms.These Programmes are aimed at developing Resource Persons in different areas of specialisation relevant to Technician Education System.
 08 such short term and long-term training programmes have been included in the yearly calendar of Govt. of India titled “Details of Courses in India (April, 2000 to March 2001”.The copies of this document are sent to the Foreign Missions of Colombo Plan member countries from which nominations are invited and the list of course-wise participants is forwarded to the Resource Institutions in India including TTTI, Bhopal.
TTTI has contributed significantly in preparing instructional materials like Learning Packages, Books and Case Studies for Commonwealth Secretariat, UNESCO and CPSC, Manila.Some of these are as follows:
TTTI has contributed significantly in undertaking Research Projects for UNESCO and CPSC.One of our Faculty members is pursuing Ph.D. work at the University of New Castle, U.K. Some of the Research Studies are as follows:


Research Study on Testing and Evaluation of Students’ Competence in Technical and Vocational Education, Parts I, II and III, sponsored by UNESCO, 1991.
 


 


Five technical teachers from the Government of Somalia had been awarded Fellowships under the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to undergo 3-semester, 1 ½ years duration “Master of Technical Education” (M.Tech.Ed.) Programme at TTTI, Bhopal in 1991-92.




 


Three faculty members trained the faculty of the University of Bangkok, Thailand in some of the aspects of Technical Education over a period of nine months.

 


For almost nine years TTTI Bhopal, has played key role as consultant to various Technical Education Systems of India under the World Bank Project for improving the various dimensions of polytechnic (technician) education systems in India.
